If I were you, I'd just download the WGC again and go through there. An exclusive Popeye DLC for World of Warships is FREE to download and keep!įind out how to get it FREE, and make sure you TELL your friends! Unfortunately, as I mentioned above, I don't think there's a way to do it in a reverse way. but I never tried it, since I'm happy with my Steam version of the game. Technically, now that my Steam-created pseudo-account is a proper WG account, I could use the WGC to log into the game too. I merely registered my account so that I can start posting here. Ever since I first started playing this game, I've always been on Steam. You can keep it linked to your Steam account, so that you can continue to play the game through the Steam version. Afterwards, you can come to the official WoWs website, register that pseudo-account, and it'll turn into a proper WG account (this step is needed if you want to post on this forum with the pseudo-account).

When you first install and start up the Steam version of WoWs, you're asked to create a pseudo-account, that comes pre-linked to your Steam account. There used to be this one "trick" that you could do to fiddle with the files of the Steam version of WoWs to log in with your pre-existing WoWs account, but I'm not sure if it still works today.

AFAIK, you can't really link a pre-existing WG account to your Steam account.
